Greeting Card Ease

It’s so cool that these days you can do so much business online.  Not only does the internet save time, but it also does a lot to save on money and resources.  Online greeting cards are one of those ways that we can reach out and touch without literally having to reach out and touch.  Thankfully, the internet has made it easy to send online greeting cards to friends, family, and loved ones.

If you are looking for the best sites for sending online greeting cards there are tons of options out there.  Hallmark is a popular site for finding online greeting cards (probably because they are already so big in selling the traditional ones); but there are plenty more but there are others out there.

Below are a few sites that have a pretty good selection to choose from in online greeting cards:

1. ecards.hallmarkcards.com.au

2. moonpig.com.au

3. lookmama.com.au

4. smilebox.com (this one is a free site)

5. blueberry.com.au (this one has a smaller selection, but the cards are really cute and worth checking out)

So as you can see, there are a plethora of options when it comes time to finding that perfect card for that special occassion in an online greeting card.  And if you still prefer going to the card store and physically picking out a card, that’s fine too; but you have to admit, it is nice to have the option of doing the same thing with just a few clicks.

Source Cards: Not just for College

If you’ve ever had to do research of any kind then chances are you know what it’s like to keep track of all your information sources.  And ever since there has been data to disseminate, there have been a need for source cards.  I know that this is the internet age and no one wants to admit to still writing things down.  I guess that’s why it’s interesting to note how necessary source cards are for citing resources.

Who knows why we up until now have not come up with something better than the 3X5 index card as the source card.  Personally, I just think that if it isn’t broke, why try fixing it?  It is the simplest way to stay organized when doing research.

Below are a couple of tips on how to best utilize your source cards when writing a report or research paper:

Color Coded – to further help in organization you can get different colored cards to correspond with the type of source you are citing.

Do it right the first time – if you document your sources the way they’ll need to be shown on your report you’ll save a ton of time.  For this it may be wise to get comfortable with MLA guidelines.

Remember, even if you plan on going digital, it is pretty nice having those neatly organized source cards available to make for an easy transfer.
